What are Generics?
Generic drugs marketed without brand names contain the exact same active ingredients used in their brand-name counterparts, but cost significantly less. The drugs are required to meet U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards for safety, purity and effectiveness.
Bimatoprost is an active agent included in eye drops such as Lumigan or Allergan. It can be used to treat age-related eye diseases such as ocular (eye) hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. Being an eye medication, it can also be used to treat the condition called eyelash hypotrichosis – the lack of eyelashes – and to make the eyelashes grow longer and thicker.
Also marketed as Latisse, Bimatoprost ophthalmic and Limugan
